However, after expressing my concerns, I was swiftly relocated to a more decent hotel that actually met my expectations. I had a really disappointing experience at Sea Garden Hotel during my layover in Sri Lanka. The hotel is presented as a star hotel, but it felt more like a poorly maintained lodge. The room conditions were distressing, and I struggled with subpar dining options. However, the transfer to a better hotel salvaged my stay somewhat. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you're in a desperate situation.
